WITHOUT THEM OUR EVENTS WOULD NOT BE AS SUCCESSFUL!

REQUIREMENTS

 

If you would like to join the Forest Warrior Volunteers Team you must meet the following criteria;

 

* You must be 18 years of age or older

* You must have the ability to attend the whole shift agreed

* For some volunteer roles you may be asked to attend a pre-event briefing session

* You must get your own way to and from the event

 

Volunteers play a crucial role during our events and if you don’t show up, turn up late, leave early,

or don’t understand your role it affects the event experience of hundreds of participants and spectators.

 

VOLUNTEERS ROLES

 

Parking attendants we are looking for volunteers to direct traffic from the main road to the parking bays and ensure cars are parked in a safe and sensible position.

 

Registration we are looking for volunteers to run registration on the morning.  We are looking for happy and efficient individuals to welcome and register our participants for the event.

 

Start Line this is the role for the enthusiastic and excitable volunteers out there…we are looking for volunteers who will be responsible for setting the pre-race atmosphere, making sure the participants are fully charged and ready for the challenges ahead.  You will also encourage the participants to take part in the pre-race warm up sessions.

 

Finish Line we are looking for those enthusistic volunteers again who will be cheering and chanting as the participants 

approach the finish line.  We are looking for volunteers who will hand out goody bags and in return collect the timing chips from each participant, before pointing them in the direction of the finish line photo area.

 

Obstacle Marshals we are looking for volunteers to marshal the obstacles.  You will be responsible and motivated individuals who will also encourage the participants as they tackle some difficult and challenging obstacles.

Some areas will require specialist abilities (please see application form for details)

 

Course Marshals we are looking for volunteers to marshal the course where we have merging routes – we need to make sure our participants follow the course.

 

Water Marshals we are looking for volunteers to marshal the water stations – water containers will be delivered to the stations on the morning of the event.  Working in pairs you will be responsible for refilling the cups of water throughout the day for when the participants arrive at your station.
